The Bhikampur Lodge is a stately colonial building, whose royal antecedents will pique the curiosity of even a seasoned traveller. Formerly christened as the Silverdene Inn, the lodge was constructed by a British lady, Florence Ethel Azimuddin. Subsequently it passed through the hands of Raja Jagatbir Singh, the former Raja of Jind, only to be bought by the swashbuckling Nawab Mohd. Rahamatullah Khan Sherwani, the Nawab of Bhikhampur, in the year 1955, transforming it into his regal summer home.
